A conference needs more than a stage. It needs publishing, teaching, media, food, transport, technology, vendors, cultural workers, families, and the Black-controlled circulation of resources. Those systems make a gathering possible and determine whether its impact lasts.
The Abibitumi Conference + Abibifahodie Festival takes place December 12–13, 2026, at Abibitumi Headquarters in Akuapem Mampong. The theme, Construction of Black Civilization, asks participants to think materially about what our institutions require.
